Kelowna Minor Fastball is a volunteer based organization that relies on volunteers to help run our teams, tournament and league.

As part of registration with our association, we require at least one parent/guardian from each family to volunteer a minimum of four hours through their player's team. The following volunteer positions need to be filled on each team:
The head coach is responsible for planning and carrying out practices, assessing player skills, aiding in development and creating a supportive and positive environment. The head coach should be familiar with the rules and regulations of the game of fastpitch softball.
The head coach for each team receives one free player registrationEach team should have one or two assistant coaches. The role of the assistant coach is to provide assistance to the head coach by running drills during practices, base coach during games and to aid in assessing player skills. The assistant coach will be responsible for stepping in when the head coach cannot attend practices and/or games.
The scorekeeper is responsible for communicating with the other teams scorekeeper to input both team's line ups into the scoresheet and maintain an accurate and legible summary of the game.
On-field helpers will assist coaches with running stations, setting up/tearing down equipment, packing equipment, raking fields etc.
Tournament Support is responsible for filling volunteer roles at local tournament and coordinating team events at tournaments.
Head coaches, assistant coaches, and scorekeepers will automatically be credited with the four hours.
If you cannot volunteer then a $100 buy-out can be paid.
